Aside from the launch date, the brand also teased the phone’s photography capabilities by showcasing some pictures taken by the X90s. The upcoming phone will run on the new Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset, which made its debut with the iQOO Neo 8 Pro last month. This is seemingly the only enhancement compared to the X90’s Dimensity 9200 SoC. No other specs have been revealed but if it is similar to the X90, then we already know what to expect. As a refresher, the X90 sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5k resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1,300 nits, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. Running on last year’s MediaTek flagship chip and a custom-made ISP & AI accelerator chip called the V2, these are paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 internal storage as well as the option to utilise unused storage as extra virtual RAM. Powering it is a 4,870mAh battery with 120W wired charging. Interestingly, the X90 Pro also comes with 50W wireless charging, so it will be interesting to see if the brand incorporates this into the X90s. Imaging-wise, it features a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. Up front, the centred punch-hole cutout houses a 32MP selfie shooter. For connectivity, it supports 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and Wi-Fi 6. It is speculated that with the chip upgrade, the X90s could arrive with support for Wi-Fi 7. It might also come with a rating of IP64 for dust and water resistance. (Source: GSMArena)
