The 2023 variant sports a smaller 6.6-inch 1080p LCD dislay with a refresh rate of 120Hz and stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos. For protection, it doesn’t have an IP rating, but the brand does say that it has a “water-repellant” design to protect it against spills, splashes, and light rain. Under the hood, it runs on the more powerful Qualcomm SoC compared to last year’s Helio G88 from MediaTek. This is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage alongside a microSD card slot for up to 2TB of memory expansion. On the camera side, the rear is equipped with a 50MP primary camera, which lacks the OIS from last year, and an 8MP ultra-wide lens while the front cutout houses a 16MP selfie shooter. For connectivity, it supports 5G, NFC, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The built-in stylus itself still lacks pressure sensitivity or connected features unlike Samsung’s S Pen. Powering the Moto device is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 20W wired charging. Moreover, the phone ships with Android 13 with Motorola’s MyUX skin on top as well as a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The brand also promises one OS version upgrade and three years of security support. The Moto G Stylus 5G (2023) retails for US$499 (~RM2,302) for the 6GB+256GB model, which comes in black and rose champagne colour options.
