How to use Walmart Pay on iPhone
To use Walmart Pay: If you have Walmart Plus, you can make checkout times even quicker using Scan & go. Scan & go allows you to scan barcodes of items as you add them to your cart, then finish up and pay by scanning the QR code at checkout. This means you don’t have to scan all of your items at the end of your trip, and you can even bag them as you go if you bring your own bags. Simply pick the items you want, scan their barcodes with your phone, scan the QR code at checkout, and you’ve already paid.
Will Walmart accept Apple Pay any time soon?
It’s very unlikely. According to a MacRumors interview with Walmart spokesperson Erin Hulliberger, “Walmart Pay is the exclusive form of mobile payment accepted at Walmart and [they] have no plans for that to change” any time soon. If they discontinued Walmart Pay, there’s likely a chance they’d adopt Apple Pay. But, for the foreseeable future, it’s not in the cards.
